To enter the photography competition, please sign up.
By uploading photographs through the Environment Photographer of the Year website, the photographer implicitly agrees to abide by the rules and the following terms and conditions.
Prizes
Environment Photographer of the Year reserves the right to offer alternative prizes, should unforeseen circumstances necessitate. Environment Photographer of the Year is not responsible for the prizes donated by its sponsors.
Judges
Judging will take place in November 2007. Winning photographers will be notified in February 2008. The judgments of the judges will be final when awarding prizes. Environment Photographer of the Year reserves the right not to award any or all prizes if entries fall below the standard required. By accepting a prize, the photographer grants permission to publish his or her name, but only in connection with the competition, to Environment Photographer of the Year and its sponsors.
Copyright
By entering photographs into the competition, the photographer avows that he or she is the sole owner of the copyright of said photographs and possesses the relevant model and property releases where applicable; the photographer indemnifies Environment Photographer of the Year from all claims arising from the publication of said photographs. It is the legal responsibility of the photographer, not Environment Photographer of the Year, to ensure that his or her photographs comply with copyright and other laws. Copyright remains with the photographer at all times. By entering photographs into the competition, the photographer grants worldwide rights to reproduce and exhibit his or her entered photographs, in all media, without compensation, but only in connection with the competition, to Environment Photographer of the Year and its sponsors.
Definitions
“Environment Photographer of the Year”, "EPOTY", and “competition” refer to Gorm Shackelford, trading as Environment Photographer of the Year. The “sponsors” refers to each individual or organization donating money, prizes, or services to Environment Photographer of the Year. The “photographer” refers to each individual or organization submitting photographs to Environment Photographer of the Year.
